Walk & Talk Therapy

The Nature Heals Program

Walk-and-Talk Therapy or Coaching

Instead of therapy or coaching taking place inside the office, when the weather permits clients can choose to schedule their session outside in a natural green space. The space changes, but the structure of the session remains the same. My signature walk-and-talk therapy/coaching program, “Nature Heals,” has several benefits:

Overwhelming research tells us that spending time in nature helps and heals. Some of the benefits are:

  • Improved physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being

  • Improved mood and lower levels of stress and anxiety

  • A more remarkable ability to problem-solve, remember, concentrate, focus, and cope with difficulties

  • A feeling of hopefulness about difficult situations

Walk-and-talk therapy or coaching can help improve mental well-being

We all know that exercise is good for our physical and mental health, but did you know that 20 minutes a day outside in a green space, is also good for your overall health? Spending time outside in green spaces can help reduce stress and anxiety, and has positive effects on our mood. For those who have ADHD spending time walking outside in nature can help improve focus and concentration. So if you're looking for a way to improve your mental health and manage ADHD symptoms, walk-and-talk therapy may be a good option.

Walk-and-talk therapy can help you clear your mind.

Sometimes when we're feeling overwhelmed, all we need is fresh air and green space. Walking outdoors can help us clear our minds and see things differently. In walk-and-talk therapy/coaching, you'll have the opportunity to talk through your concerns and work on your goals with your therapist/coach while also getting some fresh air and enjoying nature.

Is Walk-and-Talk Therapy Right for You?

Walk-and-talk therapy/coaching is a type of intervention that has many benefits, including helping you get some exercise, better concentrate, and focus, connect with nature, and reduce feelings of isolation. If you're looking for an alternative to traditional office-based therapy, my walk-and-talk therapy/coaching program, “Nature Heals,” may be right for you.

The scientific support behind walk-and-talk therapy, plus my love for the outdoors, inspired me to create “The Nature Heals Program.”
