Tracey Wade profile

Tracey Wade, MSW, RSW

I am a devoted mother, partner and friend who feels her best when outdoors and surrounded by nature in all its glory! I, like so many, am not a stranger to adversity and hardship. I have had my own healing journey and know how difficult it can be to reach out for help. I also know the great rewards that can come from doing so.

With respect and compassion, I have dedicated my career to working collaboratively with others for the purpose of helping them discover solutions to life’s difficulties, and to make meaningful changes. I believe we all have the capacity to make those changes. To feel better and do better for ourselves and those we love.

My practice is cushioned in kindness, client-centered, trauma informed, sensitive to cultural diversity and LGBQT positive.

I am a registered social worker providing counselling and psychotherapy to adults over the age of 18. With more than 25 years of experience, I have worked with clients in both private and public mental health and addiction care settings. I have a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from St. Thomas University and Bachelor’s degrees in Gerontology and Sociology from McMaster University.

I am committed to ongoing personal and professional development as part of my practice and commitment to clients to provide a high-quality service that meets their needs. I receive regular supervision as required by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I attend numerous workshops and seminars yearly and have completed several certificate programs in evidence-based interventions. Some of those key areas of professional development, specialization and certification include:
